Join us for the launch of our new exhibit at the Sikh Heritage Museum, Chandra Bodalia’s Legacy: The History and Heritage of Gurdwaras in BC, curated by the South Asian Studies Institute!
Affectionally nicknamed, the ‘Smile Catcher’, Chandra Bodalia was a prominent member of the South Asian community in B.C.’s lower mainland area and was a visual recordkeeper of many of the community’s events. This exhibit highlights Bodalia’s work of photographing Gurdwaras across B.C., capturing many historical buildings and sites important to the history of Sikh settler heritage in Canada.
We hope to see you there!
