No matter the time of year, Abbotsford has an array of exciting events and festivals to be enjoyed every season. Check out some of Abbotsford’s signature events that happens throughout the year.

Selxwí:chel Arts and Culture Day

Selxwí:chel Arts and Culture Day is an Indigenous-themed skills transmission event with performing arts, interactive crafts, and workshops. The artists facilitating these activities will be from local Indigenous communities.

Abbotsford Canada Day

Celebrate Canada Day in Abbotsford! The festivities begin with a vibrant parade along our main street, followed by a family-friendly festival at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, where you’ll find interactive play zones, engaging entertainment on the main stage, and a delicious multi-cultural food truck festival!

Berryfest

Berry marketplace, berry-go-round and ferris wheel rides, berry treats, berry baking and cooking demos, berry bake off, berry gardening demos—berry everything! Held in Historic Downtown Abbotsford, you won’t want to miss out on the entertainers, food trucks, and children’s activities!

Jam in Jubilee

This summer concert series and community art market in Downtown Abbotsford’s Jubilee Park sets the stage for some of the best local talent in the Fraser Valley. Bring the family (dogs included), set up lawn chairs and enjoy the wide range of performances.

Abbotsford Agrifair

The Abbotsford Agrifair is “The Best Little Country Fair” celebrating the community’s agricultural roots through programs with, entertainment, food, education, horse shows, midway, and so much more.

Abbotsford International Airshow

One of the largest annual events in the province, the airshow offers an extraordinary experience for spectators of all ages. Military and civilian aerial performers take to the air for dazzling shows while over 40 food trucks serve mouth-watering meals to enjoy.

Symphony in the Park

A unique outdoor experience for all music lovers, inviting viewers to an evening of orchestral performances of movie soundtracks and broadway music, and features local professional musicians from across the lower mainland.

Stetís ímexstowx

Stetís ímexstowx (Stah tee-ss ee-mehx-sst-owwhx) – This meaningful phrase translates to “walk beside us” in Halq’eméylem. Abbotsford’a local civic organizations have united around Thunderbird Square and Civic Plaza with a common goal. This gathering looks to create a space for learning and understanding Truth and Reconciliation, as well as the history of Residential Schools.

Winter Jubilee

This event is great for the whole family and includes live music, a beverage lounge, cookie decorating, food vendors and a meet and greet with Santa. Be sure to stick around to take in the magic of the annual tree lighting event and watch the street fill with festive cheer.
