CANADA DAY T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
Celebrate Abbotsford’s creativity with a community-wide design challenge! One winning design will be featured on the Official 2026 Canada Day T-Shirt, inspired by this year’s theme, Roots & Rhythm—honouring our community’s deep connections, cultures, stories, and the vibrant energy that brings us together.
Contest Opens: Tuesday, April 2, 2026
Contest Closes: Friday, May 1, 2026
Winner will be announced during the week of May 13, 2026.
ELIGIBILITY
- Open to residents of the City of Abbotsford.
- Must be a student within the Abbotsford School District (#34).
- Individual entries only.
RULES & REGULATIONS
- By entering, participants grant the City of Abbotsford full rights to reproduce the winning design for promotional and merchandise purposes for Canada Day 2026.
- Artwork must not include copyrighted content (no logos, characters, or stock illustrations).
- Offensive, discriminatory, or political content will not be accepted.
- The judging panel’s decisions are final.
- The City of Abbotsford reserves the right to modify sizing or colours to ensure printability.
PRIZE
The winning artist will receive:
- On-stage recognition by Mayor Ross Siemens at the Canada Day Official Ceremony.
- A prize pack including:
- T-shirt with their design for them and the whole family.
- $25 food truck voucher courtesy of Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival for use at Canada Day.
- Their design printed on the official 2026 Canada Day T-Shirt.
