CANADA DAY PARADE

The Canada Day Parade starts at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 and proceeds down South Fraser Way from Bourquin Crescent, down Trethewey Street, and ends at W.J. Mouat Secondary School on Mouat Drive.

This year’s parade is themed Roots & Rhythm!

Parade Application Deadline: Friday, May 22, 2026

ROOTS & RHYTHM

This year’s Canada Day theme, Roots & Rhythm, celebrates the heartbeat of our community — where deep cultural roots meet the shared rhythms that bring us together. We invite participants to honour the traditions, stories, and histories that ground us, while showcasing the music, movement, and energy that reflect our vibrant, diverse City of Abbotsford.

From heritage and homeland to dance, drums, and celebration, Roots & Rhythm is about expressing what makes you proud to call Canada home. Whether through colour, costume, culture, or creativity, we invite you to bring your roots to life and move to the rhythm of our community as we celebrate Canada Day together.

RULES & REGULATIONS

The City of Abbotsford’s first priority is ensuring the safety of all parade activities, volunteers, participants, and committee members, and to ensure all entrants comply with local Health and Safety Regulations.
